The Communist Youth of Turkey (KG) hosted a delegation from the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE), which also included the Secretary General Nikolaos Ampatielos, on 13-14-15th December in İstanbul. The delegation discussed issues concerning the struggles in Greece and Turkey in detail.
The communist youth from two organizations held particular discussions on topics such as organizing practices of vocational and working students, refugee crisis, the resistance against reactionary movement in Turkey, the struggle against the operations of imperialism on the region, and the situation of international communist youth movement.
In the meeting, which was held in a time increasing tensions in the Aegean Sea due to the reopening of Lausanne debates and the statements targeting the national borders, it was decided to call for a common struggle among the youth of Turkey and Greece in the forthcoming days.
It was highlighted that the sole power to prevent the youth of two countries from being sacrificed to the expansionist eagerness of capitalist forces and bloody projects of imperialism is the struggle line based on working-class internationalism represented by the KNE and the KG.
