Communist Party of India (Marxist) calls upon the Central and state governments to cease the growing lawlessness and anarchy in Tripura.
ICP, 4 July 2018
Following the death of a 11 year old student in West Tripura district of India on June 26, murderous attacks were unleashed by the RSS/BJP in the name of "child lifters". Attacks targeted some local Muslim hawkers as well as activists of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Later, the BJP state government blocked the internet and social media for 48 hours in order to suppress the information of the violent attacks reaching people.
Pointing out the "degree of dehumanization" of the society under the patronage of the BJP governments, the Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) reminds the Constitutional responsibility of the state government to uphold law and order by protecting innocent people and punishing the culprits. They strongly condemn that the BJP state government is patronizing private armies which spread the atmosphere of hate and violence by whipping up mass hysteria all across the country. The CPI(M) calls for protest activities in order to expose the "diabolic designs of RSS/BJP".
